Jonathan A. Emdin – Special Litigation Counsel
Jonathan A. Emdin is a member of Fullerton Beck’s Complex Torts, General Liability, Construction Litigation/New York Labor Law, Contracts and Business Litigation practices. Based in Buffalo, he represents clients throughout New York state. He concentrates his practice in all aspects of civil defense litigation, including construction/labor law, premises liability, automotive liability, and products liability. He also defends against claims in the interrelated areas of elevator liability, security liability, and property damage matters on behalf of property owners, real estate management companies, construction companies, service contractors, and building managers.
Experienced in overseeing all phases of discovery and trial preparation, Jonathan has obtained important discovery rulings and dismissals before trial through strategic motion practice. He also helps clients obtain favorable resolutions through effective settlement negotiations and mediation. Jonathan is a steadfast advocate for his clients, successfully identifying serious issues early in litigation enabling him to guide clients to optimal solutions.
Jonathan began honing his trial experience while in law school, serving as a certified intern in the Major Felonies division of the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office, where he conducted and contributed to several bench trials and jury trials.
Jonathan also participated in and was named Chairman of the Indiana University Student Outreach Clinic’s Legal Section, partnering with Indiana Legal Services to provide information and legal support to underserved communities around Indianapolis.
