White Plains, NY (November 17, 2022) – Katrine Aliha Beck, co-founding partner of Fullerton Beck LLP, has been selected as a 914 Inc. Women in Business honoree. This year, 24 accomplished women were chosen for this coveted accolade that recognizes Westchester County’s leading female professionals.
“There is no one more deserving of this honor than Katrine,” said Eileen R. Fullerton, managing partner of Fullerton Beck LLP. “She is a true visionary: a skilled lawyer, an incredible mentor and a dedicated community leader. Together, we have grown Fullerton Beck from five attorneys in White Plains to more than 50 attorneys and staff across three offices throughout the tri-state area. Katrine is also an outstanding wife and mother of three young children, including a set of twins.”
Beck’s general liability practice encompasses defending high-exposure cases stemming from motor vehicle and trucking accidents, premises liability claims, and construction accident claims under New York Labor Law. She also handles municipal law matters and commercial disputes. Her clients include national insurance carriers, individuals, small businesses, public and private corporations, property managers and condominium and co-op boards.
A first-generation immigrant from Iran who immigrated to the United States as a child, Beck has focused on insurance defense legal work since transitioning to private practice from her position as Assistant Corporation Counsel with the New York City Law Department, Bronx Tort Division.
After working for national and regional law firms, Beck launched Fullerton Beck LLP in 2018, with co-founder Eileen Fullerton, creating a collegial women-owned law firm with foundational values that encompass mentoring, inclusion and giving back to the community.
In 2015, she became involved and eventually board chair of Girls Inc. of Westchester, a program that helps ‘tween and teen girls navigate the real-life challenges they confront in school and lay the groundwork for healthy, independent, and fulfilling futures.
Recognized for her accomplishments in and out of the courtroom, Beck has been named to Super Lawyers, Crain’s Most Notable Women in Law, the BCW’s 40 under 40, Westfair Communication’s C-Suite and the New York State Bar Association’s prestigious Ruth Bader Ginsberg Vanguard Award for her extraordinary efforts addressing and raising awareness about issues of equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Beck attended the Ramapo College of New Jersey, where she earned her B.A. in Political Science. She obtained her J.D. from the Albany Law School. She also is OSHA-10 certified.
