Katrine Aliha Beck, the co-founding partner of Fullerton Beck, was honored at the 2023 Girls Inc. of Westchester annual Strong, Smart & Bold Gala, on April 20, 2023, at Glen Island Harbour Club in New Rochelle. The organization presented Katrine with the Altman Advocacy Award, named for Girls Inc. of Westchester’s past board chair and community leader Jennifer Altman, Ph.D., for her commitment and passion for advancing change in individuals, communities, and organizations.
“There are no words that can express the honor I feel to receive this award,” shared Katrine. “Not only is it named for an incredibly generous woman I had the pleasure to work with, but it is also only the award’s second year, and I’m honored the organization chose me to receive it. Thank you to Girls Inc. of Westchester and its dedicated volunteers.”
Katrine is a longtime supporter of Girls Inc. of Westchester, serving as a board member for two terms before being elected Chair in 2020. After her tenure with Girls Inc., Katrine’s love for mentoring young women led her to volunteer with Her Honor Mentoring, which provides learning opportunities and resources for young women who are the first in their families to pursue higher education.
Katrine’s professional and personal accomplishments and altruistic personality have not gone unnoticed. Among Katrine’s many honors is the coveted Ruth Bader Ginsburg Vanguard Award presented by the New York State Bar Association for her extraordinary efforts in addressing and raising awareness about equity, diversity, and inclusion.
