Dena Operman focuses on representing premier New York hospitals and physicians in complex medical malpractice cases and defending nursing homes in negligence claims. Dena handles cases from inception through trial, including court appearances, depositions, dispositive motion practice and mediation. She is experienced at determining the extent of likely exposure, accelerating turnaround through procedural and substantive dismissals, and negotiating settlements.
In addition to representing hospitals and physicians in multiple areas of practice such as neurosurgery, orthopedics, psychiatry, cardiology, radiology, anesthesiology, obstetrics and maternal-fetal medicine, neurology, pediatrics and oncology, Dena represents other members of the allied health professions. These include physician assistants, nurses, dentists, paramedics, nurse-midwives, social workers, physical therapists, managed care organizations and privately run emergency rooms. Dena also represents insurance companies in complex torts and general and professional liability matters.
